Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or one-and-one-half (1.5) years of additional experience can substitute for one (1) year of a typical degree program
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software asset management, IT asset management, procurement, or related IT operations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
- CCSAM certification
- Experience with Jira for workflow tracking, dashboard creation, and project coordination
- Experience with BigFix or similar software discovery and endpoint management tools
- Familiarity with SAM platforms such as ServiceNow SAM, Flexera, Snow, or comparable tools
- Understanding of licensing models for major vendors (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, VMware)
- Proficiency in Office 365, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage tasks independently
- Strong communication skills and comfort facilitating meetings with cross‑functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, solve problems, and maintain attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the software asset inventory, including entitlements, deployments, renewals, and usage data
- Support software license compliance activities, including internal reviews and vendor audits
- Track renewals, subscription terms, and maintenance agreements to ensure timely action
- Analyze usage data to identify optimization opportunities and reduce unnecessary spend
- Assist with the configuration, data quality, and reporting within SAM tools
- Collaborate with IT Operations, Procurement, Security, and Finance to validate installations and align software usage with organizational policies
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to review software needs, usage trends, and compliance status
- Prepare reports and dashboards using Excel and other Office 365 tools
- Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement of SAM workflows
