- A knack for making complex insurance rules easy for anyone to understand
- Working knowledge of the full revenue cycle and understand how benefit errors lead to claim denials
- Adaptable, comfortable working across multiple systems (Google Workspace)
- Thrive in a growing, fast-paced environment
- A stickler for accuracy and can prioritize a high volume of tasks without losing focus
Responsibilities
- Verify insurance eligibility using payer websites and online tools
- Ensure 100% accuracy of coverage details prior to and during treatment
- Clearly explain copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket responsibilities to patients
- Confidently lead difficult conversations and resolve escalated patient financial concerns
- Accurately document all demographic and financial information to support clean claims and minimize downstream denials
- Identify patient financial needs, establish payment plans according to Ophelia’s policies
- Negotiate payment arrangements when necessary
- Partner with the billing and revenue cycle teams to improve processes and provide feedback on insurance trends
