Requirements
- 7+ years in data science, analytics, or marketing analytics roles
- 5+ years focused on growth or performance marketing
- Deep technical expertise in attribution modeling
- Deep technical expertise in marketing measurement
- Deep technical expertise in econometrics
- Hands-on experience applying AI and machine learning techniques to solve marketing or growth problems
- Fluency in SQL
- Experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple platforms
- Demonstrated experience owning marketing analytics technology stack (e.g., GA4, MMPs, attribution partners)
- Track record of influencing cross-functional partners and executive leaders with clear insights and recommendations
- Strong project leadership, roadmap planning, and strategic execution skills
- Excellent communication and data storytelling abilities
- [Preferred] Experience in high-growth B2C technology, fintech, or marketplace businesses
- [Preferred] Experience building or leading analytics or data science teams in scaling environments
Responsibilities
- Build and own Zip's end-to-end growth and marketing measurement framework across performance and brand channels
- Partner with Data Science team on customer engagement model development and usage
- Develop and maintain advanced attribution models, including multi-touch, incrementality-based, and econometric methods
- Lead experimentation design (lift tests, geo tests, holdouts) to measure true campaign impact and optimize marketing spend
- Apply statistical and machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, tree-based models, neural networks) to uncover growth drivers and channel interactions
- Translate complex analyses into actionable insights and clear narratives for Marketing and Executive stakeholders
- Partner with Marketing leadership to guide budget allocation, forecasting, and long-term growth planning
- Own the setup and evolution of marketing analytics tools (e.g., GA4, mobile MMPs, third-party attribution partners)
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to ensure clean customer tracking and data quality
- Define measurement standards, data requirements, and best practices across all marketing efforts
- Stay ahead of industry changes in privacy, AI, attribution, and experimentation—and translate these into Zip's strategy
- Develop and scale a high-performing Growth Analytics team as the function expands
