Requirements
- MD with 3–5+ years of clinical practice experience
- Experience designing, building, or scaling applications powered by AI or LLMs that can be articulated and demonstrated in a case study
- Fluent in data science tools and methods (we use Python and SQL primarily, but are open to other tooling as well)
- Comfortable building and evaluating solutions hands-on
- Mission-driven and deeply motivated to fix what’s broken in healthcare finance
- Excellent verbal and written communicator who commands the respect of clinical and technical peers
- Creative problem-solver who sees opportunity where others see ambiguity
- Phenomenal work ethic and self-starter mentality—thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first startup environment
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical data science strategy, applying medical expertise to healthcare pricing, reimbursement, and utilization datasets
- Advance the clinical infrastructure for a more open, efficient healthcare marketplace
- Design and develop data models, algorithms, and analytical frameworks that translate clinical complexity into actionable product insights
- Serve as the authoritative clinical voice externally and internally in cross-functional discussions with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams
- Identify novel data science approaches to solve hard problems at the intersection of clinical care and healthcare finance
