Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Compliance related certifications are a plus, but not required
  • 3+ years of experience in mortgage lending and/or servicing compliance or risk management
  • Preferably experience in the manufactured home/chattel lending space
  • Knowledge of regulations governing mortgage lending and servicing
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to clearly convey complex regulatory requirements to team members and stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Stay informed about changes in state and federal regulations related to chattel loan origination and servicing operations.
  • Assess the impact of regulatory changes on company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate compliance-related projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement compliance initiatives effectively.
  • Conduct thorough research on regulatory developments, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Analyze existing policies and procedures to identify gaps and recommend enhancements.
  • Draft, revise, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to reflect regulatory requirements and company objectives.
  • Assist with regulatory examinations and audits.
  • Compile and organize documentation, reports, and data requested by regulators.
  • Assist in the submission of company and employee license application and the ongoing maintenance of such.
  • Preparation and submission of NMLC Mortgage Call Report and other required reporting.
