Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Compliance related certifications are a plus, but not required
- 3+ years of experience in mortgage lending and/or servicing compliance or risk management
- Preferably experience in the manufactured home/chattel lending space
- Knowledge of regulations governing mortgage lending and servicing
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to clearly convey complex regulatory requirements to team members and stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Stay informed about changes in state and federal regulations related to chattel loan origination and servicing operations.
- Assess the impact of regulatory changes on company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate compliance-related projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement compliance initiatives effectively.
- Conduct thorough research on regulatory developments, industry trends, and best practices.
- Analyze existing policies and procedures to identify gaps and recommend enhancements.
- Draft, revise, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to reflect regulatory requirements and company objectives.
- Assist with regulatory examinations and audits.
- Compile and organize documentation, reports, and data requested by regulators.
- Assist in the submission of company and employee license application and the ongoing maintenance of such.
- Preparation and submission of NMLC Mortgage Call Report and other required reporting.
