Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, working on backend systems
- Designed, implemented, deployed and operated event-based backend services
- Experience with data-heavy integrations with other systems
- Experience with Go for backend services
- Experience with JVM-stack (preferably Kotlin / Spring)
- Excellent communication skills
- Interest in developing own skills and those of the team
- Experience working in SaaS startup environments (nice-to-have)
- Experience with PostgreSQL and RabbitMQ (nice-to-have)
- Experience with PHP / Symfony (nice-to-have)
- Fullstack development experience (nice-to-have)
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers designing, developing and operating our employee communication platform (backed by PostgreSQL and RabbitMQ)
- Specifically lead on structured, chat-driven workflows
- Perform hands-on engineering work for at least 70% of your time
- Spend the remainder of time on technical leadership tasks
- Join customer calls together with your product manager to understand their specific problems
- Empower your team to build solutions that cover a majority of customer contexts
- Take charge on technical topics that are important to you
- Drive significant decisions and seek alignment across teams within our backend guild
