Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a System and Network Administrator
- Proven track record of installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and data center technologies
- 2+ years of experience in a helpdesk or technical support role
- Expertise in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure cloud platforms
- In-depth knowledge of firewall technologies and VPN solutions (Cisco AnyConnect, Meraki, SonicWall, Fortinet)
- Strong proficiency in VMWare and other virtualization platforms
- Experience managing Windows desktop and server environments (2008-2022)
- Proficiency with ticketing and remote management tools (ConnectWise, Kaseya, ServiceNow)
- Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN configurations)
- Experience with monitoring tools and network management platforms (Preferred)
- Familiarity with additional virtualization technologies like Hyper-V (Preferred)
- Strong understanding of disaster recovery planning and implementation (Preferred)
- Certification in relevant areas such as Microsoft, Cisco, or VMware (e.g., MCSA, CCNA, VCP) (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain client network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies from vendors such as Cisco, SonicWall, Palo Alto, Juniper, F5, HP, and Aruba.
- Manage and maintain server environments, both on-premises and in the cloud, using Windows Server (2008-2022) and virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V.
- Support and administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure environments, including user management, group policies, and cloud-based services.
- Implement and maintain firewalls and VPN solutions such as Cisco AnyConnect, Meraki, SonicWall, and Fortinet to ensure secure remote access and data protection.
- Monitor, configure, and manage security protocols, including intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, and anti-virus solutions.
- Perform regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and patch management to ensure compliance with security best practices.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for system, network, and application issues.
- Utilize ticketing systems such as ConnectWise, Kaseya, and ServiceNow to track, manage, and resolve support requests in an organized and timely manner.
- Proactively monitor network and system performance, using monitoring tools to detect and resolve potential issues before they impact client operations.
