Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of post-internship, full-time, hands-on, professional software development experience developing user-facing iOS mobile native applications at scale
  • Expertise in Swift and Objective-C
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices such as unit/integration/end-to-end testing, design documents, CI/CD, A/B testing, code reviews, and documentation
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment and discuss complex topics
  • BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study or equivalent practical, professional, hands-on experience
  • Experience working on very complex applications that serve millions of users
  • Additional knowledge around GraphQL, REST, HTTP basics, and the ability to design maintainable APIs is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the full development cycle including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch
  • Manage task list pipeline and communicate progress throughout the task life cycle
  • Aid in the development, maintenance, and support of the platform's iOS features
  • Design, build, and ship iOS features, experiments, and products for millions of users to support international growth
  • Communicate effectively within the team and across disciplines, working closely with product managers and designers
  • Contribute meaningfully to the team’s strategy and participate in planning the future
  • Participate in product reviews and team meetings, providing technical insight, scoping, estimating, and prioritizing between conflicting needs
  • Review code and design docs, give feedback on product specs and mocks
  • Contribute to standards that improve developer workflows, recommend best practices, and help mentor engineers
  • Continuously learn and improve technical and non-technical abilities
