Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, writing, or a related field
- Demonstrated success in writing and managing foundation grant proposals and reports
- Experience writing grant proposals in the $50,000 to $1,000,000+ range
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience supervising staff and supporting professional growth
- Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM system
- Familiarity with donor research tools and project management platforms preferred
- Passion for Repair the World’s mission and commitment to building thriving Jewish communities through Jewish service
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead grant writer for the organization, drafting, editing, and submitting foundation proposals, letters of inquiry, and grant reports.
- Translate Repair the World’s programs, impact, and priorities into clear, compelling narratives aligned with funder interests.
- Collaborate with program, evaluation, finance, and leadership staff to gather content, outcomes data, and financial information for proposals and reports.
- Ensure timely submission of all grant deliverables and maintain high standards of clarity, accuracy, and storytelling.
- Manage relationships with external grant writing consultants as needed.
- Maintain and regularly communicate a comprehensive grants calendar covering proposals, reports, renewals, and stewardship updates.
- Develop and maintain clear internal processes for grant development and reporting across development, program, and finance teams.
- Support stewardship communications for institutional supporters, including written updates, impact materials, and narrative assets.
- Supervise the Donor Communications Manager, providing direction, feedback, and professional development support.
- Manage a small portfolio of national foundation partners, supporting stewardship and proposal development in collaboration with senior development staff.
