Requirements

  • Current title of Sr. MSL (or equivalent) at an oncology or molecular screening/diagnostic company, OR at least three years of experience in an MSL role or equivalent.
  • KOL development experience.
  • Peer leadership experience within an MSL team (e.g., National scientific conference lead, Key contributor to an internal medical/core/cross-functional team, Significant contributor to MSL tool/resource development).
  • Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, NP, PA, CGC, or equivalent degree).
  • 3+ years of external-facing industry experience in a diagnostics or pharmaceutical Medical Affairs setting.
  • Advanced knowledge of the biotechnology, diagnostics, and/or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ability to apply advanced knowledge of GRAIL’s product specifications.
  • Extensive travel required (up to 60%).
  • Experience in oncology, genomics, diagnostics, cfDNA-based fields strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining a strong teamwork mentality is preferred.
  • Flexible to changes in a dynamic corporate environment is preferred.
  • Multi-dimensional in abilities to work on simultaneous tasks in a high-paced environment is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, good attention to detail, time management skills is preferred.
  • Learning mindset, open to training and becoming an expert across customer types is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; exhibits professional maturity, confidence, and competence is preferred.
  • Highly developed written skills, and the ability to produce documents for dissemination both inside and outside the organization for presentations, technical briefs is preferred.
  • Ability to elicit and answer clinical questions in groups ranging from individuals to larger didactic roundtables and podium presentations is preferred.
  • Ability to address high-level experts in the scientific field at company-sponsored events and scientific conferences is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Engage, educate, and support Galleri ordering providers and cancer diagnostic specialists, oncologists, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and Health Care System (HCS) influencers with the most current clinical and scientific materials.
  • Provide necessary and appropriate medical education with slides, abstracts, and/or publications relevant to the Galleri product and related services.
  • Respond to unsolicited questions.
  • Participate in the development and creation of educational resources.
  • Train external speakers.
  • Ensure all interactions and activities adhere to corporate and healthcare compliance guidance.
  • Develop and/or maintain strong educational and collaborative working relationships with key primary care providers, diagnostic specialists, oncologists, KOLs, HCS decision makers, and national/regional professional societies.
  • Maintain in-depth clinical, scientific, and technical expertise related to GRAIL’s products, cancer screening, and cancer diagnostic guidelines.
  • Engage in continuous learning and actively participate in up-skilling training programs.
  • Support ordering providers and diagnostic specialists with appropriate and compliant educational materials for Galleri post-positive patient journey support.
  • Summarize and communicate complex medical messages to enable clear and concise understanding by both external audiences and internal partners.
  • Elicit, capture and document actionable insights relevant to GRAIL strategy through external engagements.
  • Participate in local, regional, and national meetings in support of all scientific and medical objectives.
