Requirements
- Track record of shipping large, complex software projects
- Fluid in languages like Ruby, Python, or Typescript
- Experience with architectural design
- Ability to articulate value of technical investments
- Ability to operate with some technical guidance
- Experience mentoring engineers
- Familiarity with the front-end and working with modern a Javascript library or framework (React, Vue, Angular)
- Comfortable in a startup environment
- A fast learner, ready to bring previous knowledge to this position and continue developing along the way
- Location in Central or Eastern US time zones (CDT & EDT) strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop the products and features that make Kin operate
- Work on more complex engineering problems
- Collaborate with peers in Dev, Product, QA, and other cross-functional teams
- Mentor more junior engineers
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Ruby and occasionally some Python and Typescript
- Lead pair programming sessions
- Drive and foster design or architectural tasks
- Participate in daily stands and weekly retros
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members, including Product and PMO
- Provide subject matter expertise and support
