At least 5 years of people leadership, including managing managers and senior ICs, with 2+ of those years at a Director level or equivalent. Proven success leading a multi-team engineering organization, including full-stack product teams. Experience stepping into an existing org and improving clarity, execution, and cohesion. Demonstrated strength in hiring, developing, and scaling high-performing teams. Strong track record of delivering major products and features, with a disciplined approach to balancing speed and long-term sustainability. Prior depth as a Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead (3+ years minimum). Strong understanding of modern web architectures, distributed systems, and microservice design patterns. Deep expertise in either backend or frontend systems design, with solid working knowledge of the other. Comfortable evaluating implementations in JavaScript and Python ecosystems. Experience designing or operating services at meaningful scale. Proven ability to drive strategic engineering initiatives. Background in startup or scale-up environments.
