Staff, Software Engineer (L4)

6+ years experience in designing, building and operating high-scale, mission critical cloud based production systems. Familiarity with a production-grade code base in a modern programming language, applying best practice coding standards and writing high quality code. Experience designing technical services and leading teams through implementation. Extensive experience with RESTful API design and development. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related industry experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work non-standard, on-call rotation weekend and holiday hours. Familiarity with Go, Kubernetes, and DynamoDB (Desired). Experience building developer tools and/or internal platforms (Desired).

Build and own backend product capabilities for Stytch’s identity platform. Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable distributed services. Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to set direction and translate customer needs into technical plans. Collaborate across Twilio and Stytch teams on architecture and integration. Author design docs, drive technical decisions, review code, and maintain systems. Improve production quality and resilience through observability and incident response. Mentor and support other engineers.
