Staff Full-Stack Engineer

10+ years of experience in full-stack software development in a robust, highly available and performant multi-service ecosystem Previous professional experience being the most senior engineer on a mid-sized engineering team in a Ruby on Rails and React environment Strong experience using Postgresql SQL and NoSQL features to build great and flexible data models Expertise in building software on top of the core AWS Services (ECS, RDS, S3, etc) Preferably have a Bachelors or graduate degree in Computer Science or a relevant degree program Enjoy technical leadership through code reviews and system design sessions Possess good communication and collaboration skills Strong expertise in designing simple and supportable software through monitoring, alerting and performance tuning Enjoy mentoring engineers Passionate about building great user experiences Interpersonal skills: empathetic, courteous, and friendly Entrepreneurial and resourceful Experience handling deadlines, keeping many balls in the air, and prioritizing work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Shape design, development, and optimization of web and mobile applications Lead creation of scalable, high-performance APIs and services using Ruby on Rails Contribute to and integrate with frontend components built with React and React Native Drive improvements in system architecture and performance Lead code reviews and design sessions Evolve development processes Design data models with Data teams Partner with DevOps for AWS cloud infrastructure deployment Implement monitoring and observability practices Own key initiatives and introduce new architectural patterns Mentor engineers Collaborate with product teams to define project timelines and influence technical direction Ensure high standards of code quality and continuous improvement
