7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, supplier development, or related fields Direct, hands-on experience working with domestic manufacturing suppliers, including regular on-site engagement Strong working knowledge of CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, injection molding, or additive manufacturing Proven track record in supplier sourcing, qualification, negotiation, development, and relationship leadership Strong familiarity with vendor management systems, sourcing platforms, and related tools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders Strong analytical skills and comfort interpreting cost models, performance metrics, and operational data Demonstrated sound judgment in supplier evaluation and sourcing decisions Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred) Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of operating autonomously Strong project management skills Ability to travel 25–50% of the time, primarily within the San Francisco Bay Area
