Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a closely related quantitative field. Master’s degree in a relevant area is a strong plus. At least 8+ years of progressive relevant experience working within a data-intensive environment (IT/Data Analytics/Reporting). A minimum of 3+ years in a formal people leadership role managing direct reports. Solid understanding of data systems, including data relationships and data modeling. Proven excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Proven planning and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in SQL, Looker, including the ability to write complex queries and stored procedures. Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a remote work environment without direct supervision. Skilled in MariaDB/MySQL database management systems, Looker, and BI tools. Skilled in data analytics and visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. Excellent understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices. Demonstrated experience managing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or other sensitive data. Experience with Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS), particularly Clarity Human Services, is a significant plus. Skilled in guiding communication efforts to ensure clear and consistent analytic-related updates to stakeholders. Skilled in guiding problem-solving efforts within analytics teams. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams. Skilled in guiding data accuracy efforts within analytics teams. Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and best practices. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing demands and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines. Skilled in agile development methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA or Trello is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the Analytics team, establishing roles, expectations, and performance standards. Drive operational maturity through documentation, prioritization frameworks, and capacity planning. Identify and implement automation opportunities across analytics workflows. Establish repeatable, documented processes to reduce manual effort and improve team efficiency. Oversee analytic initiatives, ensuring data accuracy, interpretability, and alignment with standards. Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, coordinating cross-functional teams. Serve as a bridge between analytics, data integrations, product, and customer-facing teams. Demonstrate an excellent understanding of database management concepts, data security, and proficiency in SQL, BI tools, and Looker. Manage analytics initiatives related to Clarity Human Services and HMIS data. Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned.
