Requirements:
Two to Three years experience as a Nodal Officer, Trust & Safety professional, or a related field. Comprehensive understanding of India regulations (IT Act 2000, India DPDPA, IT Intermediary Guidelines 2021). Experience communicating with third parties regarding sensitive data. Experience in communicating with India Federal and local legal authorities (CERT-In, MEITy, MHA, etc.). Experience with triaging important tasks in an organized manner. Analytical skills with attention to detail. Experience with office suite products (Microsoft Office or Google Workspace). Excellent communication skills or report writing skills. Ability to remain composed while viewing sensitive subject matter. Experience working with confidential information. Ability to pass a background check. Familiarity with multiple OS platforms including Windows and Linux. Understanding of global privacy frameworks. Experience with maintaining logs (specifically for a Cloud Services Provider). Familiarity with ticketing management systems (ie, Jira, ServiceNow, etc.). Ability to start within 30 days. Able to work in New Delhi, India.
Responsibilities:
Act as Vultr India Private Ltd’s official collaborator with legal authorities in India. Support and facilitate all communication with federal, regional, and local authorities. Respond to official requests, inquiries, and complaints related to legal inquiries from the global law enforcement community. Collaborate with Vultr global entities, third parties, Vultr Legal, Trust and Safety, Compliance, and Engineering. Engage in cross-team collaboration with US law enforcement response team, SecOps, storage, and privacy teams. Review expanding feature requirements to support legal requests. Manage and process lawful requests for user data or information from law enforcement and government agencies. Respond to all in person or local communication requests from law enforcement. Participate in verification of legal authentication and authorization. Review inquiries regarding account closure due to Terms of Service violations, copyright violations, spam, phishing abuse, malware, fraud, revenge porn, CSAM, CSEM, non-payment, and national security matters. Respond to legal requests from India’s law enforcement and other government agencies. Respond and collaborate with CERT-In regarding cyber security incidents. Collaborate with the US LER team to fulfill legal requests. Collaborate with SecOps and LER to ensure accurate reporting of cyber security incidents. Occasional travel to police stations in India whenever necessary. Conduct proper vetting of legal inquiries from unfamiliar law enforcement agencies. Collaborate with attorneys in India approved by Vultr and other agencies if necessary.
