Regional Biologist I (Remote - US)

Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related natural resources field (Master’s preferred). 3–5+ years of experience managing wetland protection, restoration, and enhancement projects. Experience writing funding proposals and managing grants. Strong knowledge of wetland ecology, restoration techniques, hydrology, and monitoring. Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking skills. Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with staff, volunteers, partners, and community stakeholders. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with GIS tools (ArcGIS Online, ArcPro, Field Maps) preferred. Familiarity with state and federal wetland conservation programs, policies, and laws is a plus.

Plan, develop, and implement wetland restoration and enhancement projects on public and private lands. Lead all project phases: site assessment, restoration design support, permitting, implementation oversight, contract management, and reporting. Manage regional conservation budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. Collaborate with agency partners, municipalities, NGOs, and stakeholders to advance wetland conservation. Develop, submit, and administer grants for project funding, including cost estimates and reporting. Support habitat conservation programs: strategic planning, landowner outreach, easement projects, and ecosystem services. Represent the organization at committees and working groups, promoting conservation objectives. Coordinate with internal teams for communications, development, and administrative support.
