Data Governance Leader

6+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or related roles. 2+ years of previous Consulting leadership experience working with external clients. Adept at making technical recommendations tied to business outcomes. Knowledge of AI Governance, its facets, and how to incorporate into an AI Strategy. Has facilitated discovery sessions and workshops. Demonstrated ability to define and obtain alignment for definition, business rules and data quality controls. Familiarity with governance operating models and stewardship practices. Knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and how governance practices support compliance. Ability to coach and mentor others. Proven track record of collaborating with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Lead workstreams and provide hands-on co-creation support. Partner with account executives and solution engineers on scoping new opportunities. Facilitate data governance working groups to drive alignment. Execute metadata management activities (cataloging, lineage, stewardship). Partner with business teams to draft and maintain business rules, definitions, and data quality controls. Apply data quality processes (profiling, monitoring, issue management). Support installation, configuration, rollout, and adoption of governance/metadata tools. Coach client staff on data stewardship practices. Communicate governance concepts in clear business language. Provide input on access controls, privacy, and compliance with regulations. Collaborate to embed governance into daily workflows and platform pipelines.
