Senior Technical Architect - Japan

Demonstrated progressive experience delivering complex, customer-facing technical consulting engagements from discovery and design through implementation and handover Strong background in professional services delivery models and technical consulting Proven ability to design and document scalable architectures for GitLab or similar DevOps platforms Experience leading cross-functional delivery teams Deep familiarity with modern DevOps and DevSecOps practices and tooling Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools, particularly Terraform and Ansible Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to operate autonomously in a fully remote, distributed, and asynchronous work environment

Deliver high-level designs and oversee GitLab deployments to customer environments (on-premises and cloud) Engage with customers under a Statement of Work, driving high-quality outcomes Plan and execute migrations from source systems to GitLab Provide DevSecOps consulting and guide customers on AI-assisted development practices Lead and mentor Professional Services and partner consultants Partner with Professional Services Engagement Managers, customers, and partners to scope and create Statements of Work Stay current on GitLab product releases, features, and fixes Support Regional Delivery Managers with technical vetting of partner consultants and new hire candidates
