Accountant/AP Specialist

Bachelor's degree in Accounting 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in CPG or a high-growth environment, working on smaller teams Strong understanding of AP, AR, inventory management, and financial reporting Proven ability to develop and implement financial policies and strategies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in scenario analysis and forecasting Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel Excellent communication and leadership skills Detail-oriented and highly organized Ability to handle high AP volume efficiently

Review and record vendor invoices Manage AP aging and weekly payments Onboard new vendors Reconcile vendor statements Communicate with vendors professionally Support collections for past-due accounts Prepare and post journal entries Maintain and reconcile the general ledger Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations Assist in preparing monthly financial statements Reconcile clearing accounts Maintain schedules for accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets Ensure timely and accurate close processes Improve and document accounting procedures and internal controls Support annual audits and tax filings Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
