Engineering Manager, AI Systems (Remote from Texas)

4 to 7 years of experience in engineering management Recent hands-on engineering experience with TypeScript or JavaScript, Python, or Go Strong background in B2B SaaS product development and scalable cloud-based systems Demonstrated interest in AI and machine learning Experience working directly on AI-powered products or platforms Excellent communication skills and leadership presence, especially within distributed and remote teams Willingness to participate in stand-by, on-call, or off-hours duties as required

Lead a cross-functional AI product engineering team, owning strategy, execution, and delivery Define and drive the technical direction for AI systems Partner closely with AI research and model training teams Ensure high standards for reliability, performance, security, and token-cost efficiency of AI inference services Oversee infrastructure operations, including on-call rotations and operational readiness Spend approximately half of your time on hands-on engineering tasks
