Medical Advisor (Telehealth Nurse Practitioner) – Australia

Extensive experience of the local online telehealth industry. Acute awareness of the challenges of providing excellent clinical care in a competitive commercial environment. Experience of GLP-1 prescriptions and erectile dysfunction treatments via online asynchronous consultations. Ideally experience of the design and management of such a service. Ideally actively practising currently. Education: Masters in Nurse Practitioner practice (AQF Level 9). License: Full Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) registration as Nurse Practitioner. Prescribing authority under the relevant State/Territory Poisons Act for S4 medication. Good-standing with AHPRA: No restrictions, investigations or suspensions. Knowledge of guidelines and standards set by relevant national organizations (MBA, AHPRA, TGA, ADS, RACGP).

Provide detailed overview of Australian regulations, guidelines, and local practices for online asynchronous prescribing services. Assist in identifying clinical requirements for launching an online prescribing service in the local market. Assess patient requirements for asynchronous assessment, including BMI validation, data sharing, investigations, and identity validation. Advise on advertising of prescription medication and medical services. Identify key cultural and medicolegal considerations. Complete a report on the required clinical model for an online asynchronous service prescribing GLP-1 and erectile dysfunction medications. Participate in a one-hour interview.
