Staff Accountant

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-5 years of relevant experience Public accounting experience is a plus CPA or progress toward certification is a plus Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls Advanced excel skills Experience with accounting software (Quickbooks, NetSuite, Expense Reporting Systems) Detailed-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities independently Process mindset is a must Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience in startup environment is a plus

Own day-to-day general ledger activity and maintain accurate financial records Prepare and post journal entries, manage month-end close, perform account reconciliations Support preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Vendor and client set up Reconcile bank and credit card transactions Prepare supporting schedules for internal and external stakeholders Assist with budget to actual variances analysis and rolling forecast Support implementation and refinement of accounting policies and internal controls Contribute to automation and process improvements Coordinate filings with regulatory agencies
