Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to influence Airbnb cross-functional teams globally. Strong negotiating skills. Experience evaluating and interpreting policy language and relevant case law. Ability to coordinate loss investigations with external experts. High attention to detail. 10+ years of Insurance Claims Coverage and Litigation experience with an emphasis on liability and property. Strong Insurance Policy experience. Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues through effective problem solving skills. Proven ability to negotiate skillfully.
Responsibilities:
Identify, investigate, and manage complex and large loss claims. Manage partners to influence prioritization, drive accountability, and deliver improvements. Work with cross-functional teams to manage emerging risks. Report at Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews. Build partnerships and engage in Large Loss Claim reviews with insurers. Craft resolution plans for complex and large loss claims. Partner with Legal, GCM, Trust, Brokers, Insurers, Outside Counsel, and TPAs on complex claims resolution. Manage claims impacting Airbnb financials and the Captive. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements. Mentor L6 and L7 Host Damage Protection and Host Liability Protection Specialists.
