Senior Data Engineer, Events

Solid experience with data pipelines and event-driven architectures at scale Proficiency in Go or another backend language Strong knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, and messaging platforms like Pub/Sub Hands-on experience with BigQuery or similar data warehouses Track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams Familiarity with GCP and Kubernetes in production environments (nice-to-have) Exposure to frontend systems (React, Rails) (nice-to-have) Experience integrating with customer-facing APIs or analytics connectors (nice-to-have) Background in onboarding to inherited systems and driving re-architecture (nice-to-have)

Design and maintain reliable pipelines for ingesting and processing real-time and batch data Own and optimize systems running at massive scale, ensuring low-latency event delivery and high reliability Get up to speed with an established production system and help teammates do the same Partner with backend, frontend, and product teams to align technical decisions Contribute to architectural improvements for the event ingestion platform Share knowledge and mentor new engineers
