Senior MySQL Database Engineer

Deep MySQL expertise - performance tuning, replication, schema optimisation, and backup/recovery. Hands-on experience with Percona Toolkit, Performance Schema, PMM, Grafana, or Prometheus. Strong Linux fundamentals and an understanding of networking basics. Experience supporting high-scale or high-volume production systems. Excellent communication and the ability to collaborate with product, engineering, and platform teams.

Own the design, optimisation, and scaling of high-availability MySQL systems. Improve query performance, indexing strategy, and schema design. Manage upgrades, migrations, and replication topologies with minimal downtime. Monitor, detect, and resolve database performance issues. Partner with engineering teams to evolve our database architecture. Set best practice, mentor engineers, and uplift database engineering.
