Senior Data Engineer

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 7+ years of experience leading engineering teams 9+ years of experience building big data systems handling at-scale data ingestion, processing, and/or storage in AWS Stack Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into a well-executed technical roadmap Experience with data science platforms, machine learning infrastructure, data governance, and/or managing regulated data is preferred Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills A willingness to "roll up your sleeves" Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulations such as HIPAA and FHIR Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills

Design and implement scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes Lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics models Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into actionable business strategies Contribute to the development of a world-class data platform Champion and ensure the privacy and security of customer data Provide leadership and guidance to teams Own Data Jira boards Ensure solutions adhere to HIPAA compliance and data security best practices Work with the Quality Engineering team to ensure solutions are thoroughly tested Continuously assess and optimize system performance Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends Identify and implement process improvements
