Senior Cloud Engineer - Managed Services

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience with cloud computing, virtualization, system administration, or equivalent on-prem server management. 5+ years of experience with cloud networking or equivalent on-prem networking management. Experience in a 24x7 managed services, hosted service company, or Network Operations Center environment. Experience with ITIL processes and associated ITSM systems. Experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. Experience with Windows and Linux system administration, supporting and scaling virtual server cloud or on-prem environments. Understanding of sys admin concepts including virtualization, containers, disk storage, encryption, security, network connectivity, firewalls, and load balancers. Extensive hands-on experience with Azure networking services including VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, and third-party NVAs. Deep understanding of network routing, segmentation, and route redistribution in hybrid environments. Proficiency with load balancing technologies and DNS services. Experience administering Azure Resource Manager and Terraform templates. Experience with Azure native services (Policy, Active Directory, Lighthouse, Monitor/Log Analytics). Experience with tools for managing Cost, Security, and Compliance in Azure. Experience with Azure-based deployments and migrations or other cloud platforms is a plus. Operational knowledge of ARM, PowerShell, Bicep, and Azure Functions is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. A passion for problem solving and learning new technologies. Support client Microsoft Azure infrastructure and respond to escalations. Communicate ticket status and escalate cases to ensure timely closure. Interact with clients to identify and troubleshoot IT issues, communicating technical solutions in business terms. Install, configure, and administer client systems in Azure to improve infrastructure. Configure and tune cloud-based tools, managing cost, security, and compliance. Execute monthly maintenance of Azure infrastructure, including patching, backups, and disaster recovery. Lead implementation and optimization of cloud network solutions. Oversee deployment and integration of hybrid network solutions. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams and operational procedures. Automate network provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Create and maintain updated documentation for each client's environment. Promote best practices to enhance organizational processes. Participate in weekly client discussions to review issues, changes, and improvement proposals. Provide consultation and monthly reports on client cloud-based infrastructure.
