Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CIMA Qualification preferred. 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a startup environment. Experience using QuickBooks Online. Proficiency in learning and adapting to new systems. Experience working remotely and developing strong team relationships. Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written. Willingness to follow established policies and procedures accurately. High level of confidentiality while working with sensitive client data. Strong finance-based analytical skills and interpersonal communication. Expertise in accounting and client management, including prepaid revenue, deferred revenue, revenue recognition, intangible asset management, mark-to-market valuation, inventory, purchase orders, prepaid expenses, payment processing systems (e.g., Stripe), creating and managing monthly close lists, producing tax-ready year-end reports, accounts payable and receivable processing, and producing financial reports and GL account reconciliations. Competency with software like G-Suite, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Ramp, Brex Expensify, and Concur. Proficiency in video conferencing tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams.
