Senior Director, Assistant Controller

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required. 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Prior public accounting experience preferred (Big Four experience a plus). Deep technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP (stock-based compensation, software capitalization, CECL, loan portfolio accounting). Proven experience managing complex audits and producing audit-ready financial statements. Ability to develop accounting policies, lead cross-functional initiatives, and support public company audit standards (PCAOB). Proficiency in NetSuite; familiarity with Carta, Pigment, ZIP, and Expensify preferred. Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time zones and cultural contexts. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Lead monthly close and prepare U.S. GAAP-compliant financial statements, investor and lender deliverables. Oversee global consolidation of international subsidiaries. Provide guidance on technical accounting areas like stock-based compensation, software capitalization, CECL, and complex transactions. Serve as primary liaison for external audits, lender reviews, and technical accounting advisors. Manage and mentor a cross-border team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial impacts. Partner with shared-service teams to optimize accounting processes and drive automation.
