Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; active CPA license required. 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 4+ years in Big 4 public accounting. Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and complex financial reporting requirements. Proven ability to research, document, and resolve complex technical accounting issues with senior management and external auditors. Strong leadership and project management skills, able to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple priorities. Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences. Experience with financial systems (e.g., Workiva, NetSuite) and M&A integration is advantageous. Proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead and research complex technical accounting matters, including M&A, debt, equity, impairment, segment reporting, and software capitalization. Draft and maintain technical accounting memos, documenting company positions under U.S. GAAP. Partner with external auditors and valuation specialists to resolve technical accounting issues and oversee recurring valuations. Govern and update the global accounting policy library, ensuring compliance with new accounting standards and significant transactions. Serve as primary accounting lead for M&A activities, overseeing purchase accounting (ASC 805) and integration. Drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting. Provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams on accounting implications of business decisions and transactions.
