Senior Backend Engineer - Python

5+ years of experience developing backend systems with microservices architecture in cloud environments. Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL. Experience building recommendation systems and APIs for model output delivery. Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS). Familiarity with real-time data processing frameworks such as Kafka, Flink, or Kinesis. Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills. Ability to thrive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments.

Design, implement, and maintain microservices-heavy backend systems in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Build and optimize APIs and recommendation systems. Develop real-time data processing pipelines using frameworks such as Kafka, Flink, or Kinesis. Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and engineering teams. Advocate for engineering best practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code. Research and implement emerging technologies. Provide mentorship and guidance to peers.
