Senior Solutions Engineer

5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Database Administrator, or Software Engineer with a focus on distributed systems, databases, or cloud computing. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience. Extensive experience in technical sales, pre-sales engineering, or customer-facing technical roles. Strong understanding of clustering technologies, terminology, and architectures. Proficiency in Linux system administration. Understanding of network configuration and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis). Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Golang, Shell scripting). Exceptional communication and presentation abilities. Strong problem-solving skills.

Educate prospects and customers on TiDB capabilities and benefits. Share best practices for integrating TiDB. Guide customers through TiDB design, deployment, and optimization. Lead and execute Proof of Concept (PoC) engagements. Develop and present tailored architectural solutions. Provide technical input on RFPs and customer technical requirements. Create technical champions in accounts. Work hands-on with customers to demonstrate TiDB value. Develop and deliver presentations, demonstrations, and workshops. Generate high-quality technical content (whitepapers, blog posts, etc.). Stay at the cutting edge of distributed database technology. Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing. Establish industry influence by contributing to technical discussions.
