Senior Backend Engineer

Mid-to-senior level backend engineering experience with Node.js and TypeScript Solid hands-on experience building RESTful APIs, services, and backend workflow logic Ability to operate independently and unblock yourself Experience engaging directly with clients or stakeholders Familiarity with backend testing (unit, functional/e2e, load), security audits, debugging, observability, alerting, and performance optimization Experience working with relational databases (like PostgreSQL), index/query optimization, backend validation, and coding APIs defensively against user input Comfort working in Agile environments Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally Bachelor's Degree

Design and implement backend services using Node.js/TypeScript Support data ingestion, transformation, and API integration workflows Clarify requirements with client teams Propose technical approaches Ensure backend services align with interoperability standards (FHIR, MCP) Shape the direction of the backend stack Improve performance, reliability, logging, error handling, and automation Own backend decisions in a small, focused engineering environment
