Performance Engineer

5+ years of software or platform engineering experience, ideally in high-performance systems. Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Ruby, Python, or Go). Deep understanding of distributed systems, caching, and database optimization. Hands-on experience with performance profiling, load testing, and monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana). Experience with AWS or other cloud infrastructure providers. Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Diagnose, analyze, and resolve performance bottlenecks across distributed systems, APIs, and databases. Build and maintain internal tools, frameworks, and dashboards that measure and improve system performance. Collaborate with product engineering teams to design and implement scalable, efficient solutions. Establish and promote performance best practices across the engineering organization. Contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines and observability for faster, more reliable deployments. Participate in and run incident response and conduct root cause analyses with long-term remediation strategies.
