Requirements:
Hold a DES or DEC in Civil Engineering or a related discipline 5 to 10 years or more of relevant experience Training in civil engineering construction supervision (infrastructure/civil) Knowledge of specifications and procedures of the City of Montreal Knowledge of MTQ and BNQ standards Hold the ASP Construction Card Good command of French, both spoken and written Possess a valid driver's license and a vehicle Enjoy working outdoors (summer and winter) Ability to work long hours on the construction site
Responsibilities:
Perform surveillance related to roadwork, landscaping, and underground infrastructure projects (water mains, domestic and storm sewers, etc.) Ensure work complies with plans and specifications Ensure compliance with current environmental standards Validate various payment statements Coordinate and approve work done by the laboratory Complete daily reports Issue non-compliance reports Perform measurements and progress payments Follow up on modifications and approve changes with the project manager Possibility of performing office work (estimation, design review...) during construction site shutdown periods
