Cost Accountant

2-4 years of progressive accounting experience at a CPG manufacturing company Advanced knowledge of Excel and NetSuite experience required Knowledge of GAAP and its implications Strong presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking Detail oriented, organized and mathematically proficient Ability to multi-task several important priorities simultaneously BS or BA in Finance, Accounting or other analytical field preferred CPA or CMA a big plus

Monitor and track all operational costs including direct product costs as well as freight and logistics expenses Own the invoicing process with our co-manufacturers including tolling variances and raw material chargebacks Collaborate with Accounting team members and the Operations team to collect, analyze, verify and report accurate information Manage accrued purchases Support all Operations budget and forecast activities Develop cost estimates and product P&Ls for new products or projects Recommend changes to reduce costs and improve profitability Analyze general ledger variances and suggest corrective action Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
