Accountant (Europe - Remote)

2+ years of experience in technical accounting, preferably with experience in an international accounting firm. Proficiency in accounting software and tools (familiarity with NetSuite is required). Strong background in Belgian accounting and expertise in VAT. Exposure to US and EU accounting practices. Attention to detail with strong analytical skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey financial information clearly. A self-starter with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to learn.

Perform balance sheet reconciliations for various business entities. Manage accounts payables efficiently, ensuring timely payments. Ensure compliance with Belgian VAT regulations. Assist in the preparation and submission of required tax filings and regulatory compliance documents. Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to provide financial insights and support operational efficiency. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and streamline accounting processes.
