Sr. Engineering Manager, Core Product

10+ years of experience leading distributed systems teams at scale Strong technical depth, ideally in performance-sensitive or always-on systems Experience operating high-availability production systems (e.g. AWS, Cloudflare, Datadog, Vercel, or similar) Ability to drive clarity and execution in ambiguous, high-pressure scenarios Strong people leadership skills paired with deep curiosity and a bias for ownership

Lead engineering across Core Product and Platform, and other high-scale distributed systems Set direction for availability, latency, reliability, and long-term system architecture Partner with founders on company-wide engineering strategy and prioritization Coach and grow engineering managers and staff engineers Build and reinforce a culture of ownership, clarity, urgency, and technical excellence Maintain high velocity without compromising correctness or quality Simplify complex problems and keep teams aligned and unblocked
