Site Reliability Engineer (Remote Opportunity)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field. 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, cloud infrastructure, and integration of enterprise systems. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and cloud-native microservices. Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline setup and management (Jenkins, Git). Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, and logging tools. Experience with authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth, JWT) and policy-based access control. Familiarity with healthcare standards (FHIR, RESTful APIs) and integration with EHR systems. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Design, implement, and maintain highly available cloud-native microservices in Kubernetes and AWS. Lead integration efforts for DP+, CDS Hooks, and backend services within the Health Service Mesh. Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and infrastructure as code. Monitor system performance, reliability, and security using observability tools. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, optimize runtime environments, and ensure compliance. Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms and policy engine integrations. Collaborate with stakeholders to define integration requirements and technical solutions. Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks. Participate in architecture reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Support developer enablement through documentation and technical guidance. Ensure data integrity and secure handling for integrations with VistA and clinical data sources.
