Part-Time Electrical Contractor Instructor/Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Must hold a valid Massachusetts Electrician license (Master or Journeyman) obtained through state examination and in good standing. Minimum 5 years of practical experience in electrical contracting. Demonstrated expertise in the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Massachusetts Electrical Code (MEC). Comprehensive understanding of the 2026 NEC, Massachusetts amendments (527 CMR 12), and related codes/standards. Experience with online learning platforms, Microsoft office suite, video conferencing tools, and digital collaboration software—or willingness to learn. Excellent ability to articulate technical concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats suitable for digital delivery. Strong capability to identify significant code changes and their practical implications. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.

Provide expert guidance on the 2026 NEC, Massachusetts amendments (527 CMR 12), and related codes. Identify and explain significant code changes and their impact. Interpret complex code requirements and translate them into practical applications. Stay current with electrical code updates and industry best practices. Serve as an online instructor for Massachusetts Electrical Exam Prep and Continuing Education Courses. Deliver live virtual sessions using video conferencing platforms.
