Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Regulatory Affairs, or related fields (Master’s is a plus). Experience in regulatory, legal, or public policy roles within fintech, payments, or financial services. Strong understanding of LATAM regulatory frameworks. Ability to analyze and interpret regulations, assess new products and markets, and advise cross-functional teams. Strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Fluent in English and proficient in Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Assess regulatory frameworks for new LATAM markets and support expansion initiatives. Evaluate operational flows, market models, and product designs for regulatory alignment. Support licensing, registration, and approval processes. Advise product, commercial, legal, and operations teams on regulatory matters. Translate regulatory requirements into clear guidance for internal stakeholders. Support engagement with regulators and supervisory authorities. Coordinate submissions, inquiries, and information requests from regulators. Work with external counsel on regulatory positioning. Contribute to governance of legal entities in the region. Conduct periodic regulatory reviews of existing operations. Monitor regulatory changes in LATAM and assess impact. Partner with internal teams to design remediation plans for regulatory gaps.
