Requirements:
10+ years of firmware or embedded systems engineering experience Proven technical leadership experience Hands-on technical leadership style Deep knowledge of firmware development for connected or IoT devices Experience with ESP32/FreeRTOS in low-latency, resource-constrained environments is a strong plus Expertise with wireless communication protocols (BLE, Wi-Fi) Expertise with over-the-air (OTA) update systems Expertise with low-power system design Strong understanding of embedded observability and testability Track record of mentoring engineers Active interest in leveraging AI tools for development
Responsibilities:
Own the architecture and technical direction of Hatch’s connected device platform. Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems. Participate in incident triage and guide root-cause analysis. Champion engineering best practices and mentor engineers. Debug and resolve challenging system issues. Architect and lead system refactors. Define and drive team's technical direction. Lead firmware design and implementation for next-generation products.
