Engineering Manager, Embedded

10+ years of firmware engineering experience. 5+ years in a leadership role. Hands-on leadership style with willingness to write code and make technical decisions. Deep knowledge of firmware development for connected or IoT devices. Experience with ESP32/FreeRTOS is a plus. Proven experience leading end-to-end firmware development and release cycles for production hardware. Experience directly managing engineers, including hiring, performance management, and career development. Active interest in leveraging AI tools to improve development velocity. Strong communication skills.

Lead the embedded engineering team. Own the firmware development and release process from concept to customer. Guide the team through design, implementation, and release. Collaborate with hardware, mobile, backend, and product teams. Champion engineering best practices and mentor engineers. Drive execution of firmware projects. Lead architectural and design reviews. Evolve the firmware roadmap.
