Data Engineering Team Lead

Degree in Data Science, Computer Science or similar subject (or equivalent professional experience) Ability to lead and mentor a remote home-based team Experience and interest in project management, specifically change management Advanced proficiency in either or multiple of: Python, SQL, JavaScript Experience with modern data warehousing and associated transformation processes (ideally Snowflake) ETL pipeline development Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Experience within the environmental sector (desirable) Awareness of Biodiversity Net Gain and/or the Environmental, Social, and Governance business framework (desirable) Experience working in a scale-up environment (desirable)

Provide strategic direction and oversight for the Data Team Prioritise team workload Manage and develop team members Lead planning and strategy for developing new data products and services Contribute to the company’s digital strategy Shape the deployment of data platforms Drive innovation in data capture, management, and visualisation Consolidate and enhance data systems and workflows Lead the oversight of digital data capture systems Act as the primary contact for non-spatial data related work Collaborate with other teams on data storage and analytical improvement Oversee data processing, analysis, and visualisation activities Support product delivery for the Sales Team Manage data from third-party sources
