HQ - Senior Backend Engineer (Kotlin) - EMEA Remote

5+ years of backend development experience using Kotlin or Java. Strong experience building and maintaining distributed systems at scale (1M+ users). Proven track record delivering customer-facing applications. Experience owning the full lifecycle of a feature (design, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring). Solid understanding of relational databases, transactions, and query optimization. Hands-on experience with monitoring systems.

Design and implement scalable services for the staffing and workforce management platform. Collaborate with cross-functional product teams on backend features. Lead development of critical components and drive architectural discussions. Mentor engineers and promote best practices in Kotlin development, testing, and observability. Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of systems. Take ownership from design to deployment and monitoring.
