Assistant Controller - Clinical Research Domain

10+ years of increasing responsibility in finance and accounting within the clinical research industry. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. Working knowledge of ASC 606. Proven experience managing external audit firms and accounting consultancies. Demonstrated experience managing domestic and international tax compliance. Extremely hands-on professional, comfortable owning the monthly closing process. Deep, technical knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Expert-level proficiency within NetSuite is helpful.

Direct and execute all accounting functions (general ledger, AP, AR, payroll). Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes. Lead technical accounting for revenue recognition (ASC 606). Serve as the lead technical accounting expert for the industry. Oversee domestic and international tax matters. Coordinate and manage the annual external financial audit. Lead engagements with accounting consultants. Develop and maintain robust internal controls. Support cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Partner with leadership for financial insights and strategic decision-making. Oversee continuous improvement of accounting systems and processes.
