Staff Cloud Platform Engineer

8+ years of strong software engineering fundamentals with significant experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering. Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and influence architectural decisions across teams. Deep experience with AWS & GCP, Kubernetes, Gitops, Terraform (or other infrastructure-as-code frameworks), and modern observability stacks(Grafana etc). Strong understanding of distributed systems, reliability engineering, and cost optimization best practices. Track record of mentoring and leveling up engineering teams through process and tooling improvements (on-call, CI/CD, monitoring, incident management etc.). Passion for building reliable, developer-friendly platforms that improve the productivity of others. Proficiency in one or more of: Go, Python, or similar languages.

Lead the design, development, and evolution of Included Health's cloud infrastructure, driving improvements in scalability, cost efficiency, and resilience. Partner across engineering teams to deliver cross-cutting infrastructure initiatives spanning containerization, observability, and data services. Drive modernization and standardization of platform patterns to simplify development and deployment workflows. Mentor and guide engineers across the team, fostering technical excellence and operational maturity. Influence the architectural direction for high-impact projects, balancing deep technical rigor with pragmatic delivery. Collaborate closely with product, data, and infrastructure partners on initiatives such as AI platform enablement and data warehouse evolution.
