Systems Engineer – Platform Administrator (Burlington, VT)

10+ years of technical experience designing and deploying secure, scalable cloud solutions. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Proficiency in VMware, Active Directory, PowerShell, and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, SCCM). Strong background in system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Experience supporting hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud). Familiarity with network security, patch management, and compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).

Install, configure, and maintain enterprise servers, networks, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, AWS/Azure). Manage and support Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and availability. Implement and maintain system security measures, patches, and updates. Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Ansible. Collaborate with network and cloud teams for seamless integration. Maintain accurate system documentation, configuration baselines, and change records. Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, and high-availability configurations. Provide Tier 3 escalation and mentor junior system administrators.
